Family holidays in Tux
Children's slopes on the local mountain, a playground at 3,250 metres and hiking trails that start in the village. What Tux offers families in winter and in summer, and what Ferienhaus Evelyn adds to it.
A house where everyone has their own room
A family holiday needs two things: short ways out and enough space when everyone comes back in. Ferienwohnung Evelyn offers both, with three separate bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with a long dining table across 94 m².
We provide a high chair and a cot free of charge, the parking space is right at the house and wet ski boots dry overnight in the house's own ski room. The Tux valley begins outside the door, in winter as in summer.

With children, every metre saved counts
Anyone who has ever crossed a car park carrying skis and helmets with a tired child knows why the distance to the valley station matters. From Ferienhaus Evelyn it is a 130 metre walk to the Rastkogelbahn, and the Kidsslope is in the Rastkogel ski area.
The Playarena indoor play park is in the same part of the village, the trail along the Tuxbach starts practically outside the house, and the Eggalmbahn with its children's park and Almspielerei is a few minutes away. For everything else, the free sports bus stops in the village.

Family skiing in winter
Practice areas, kids' slopes and fun slopes are spread across the whole ski area: in the Flohpark Hintertux, conveyor belts and beginner lifts help with the first turns, at the Sommerbergalm a Kidsslope and Funslope await, and in Pepi's Kinderland on the Penkenjoch the children's club looks after the youngest. The nearest of them is right on the local mountain.

Kidsslope Rastkogel
A snow tunnel, banked curves, a wave track and giant hands to high five, right in the Rastkogel ski area. The valley station is 130 metres from the house, and no children's slope in the Tux valley comes closer to the front door.

Children's park and Bear Route on the Eggalm
A few metres from the top station of the Eggalm lifts, beginners practise their first turns. The children's run Bärenroute circles the children's park and ends at the Lattenalm, and anyone who likes can carry on down to the valley station.
Family summer in Tux
In summer the adventure playgrounds are spread across mountain and valley. What makes Tux special: even in July and August there is still playing in the snow, up on the Hintertux Glacier.

Luis' Gletscherflohpark
At 3,250 metres lies what the tourist board calls probably the highest playground in Europe. From July there is a tubing run, a snow tyre carousel, bob rides and a snowball fight, while it is summer down in the valley.

Almspielerei on the Eggalm
Right at the top station of the Eggalmbahn: a large water pond with a pull boat and a play raft, plus many more stations. On warm days the cooling off comes included.

Pepi's Kinderland and TUX-Welten
On the Penkenjoch stands an eight metre wooden bear to climb through, with an air cushion, a sand play area and a climbing garden. The TUX-Welten lead through the mountain landscape with adventure stations and the new mountain marble runs.
Natur Eis Palast on the glacier
Below the piste on the Hintertux Glacier lies a crevasse you can walk into. The Natur Eis Palast leads through ice caves, past frozen waterfalls and an underground lake, with the ice glowing deep blue.
The guided tour takes about an hour and runs all year round, with booking in advance. For children it is one of those places they still talk about long after they get home. Warm clothing and sturdy shoes are part of it, as the temperature inside stays close to freezing. The entrance is at the Sommerbergalm top station, a good half hour from Vorderlanersbach.

Rainy days, quiet days, day trips
Six places for days without a piste and without a mountain lift. All a short distance from the house and all doable with children.
