Hiking in Tuxertal
Across the valley, up to the mountain pastures, passing picturesque mountain lakes and finally reaching the finest mountain peaks - holiday region Tux-Finkenberg boasts 350 km of hiking trails, to fully enjoy during summer. Whether you're an adventurer, explorer, disciplined long-distance hiker or a family: the region caters for all tastes!
The circular route that leads through Penkenjoch, Wangalm and Lämmerbichl is a fantastic hiking path that will challenge your calves, but you will be rewarded wth unparalleled impressions and views.
The 18 kilometre route, which includes an elevation of 1000 metres, will lead you past mountain pastures, farmhouses, to the restaurant on Penkenjoch and to the panorama high trail on the Lämmerbichlalm. This hiking tour with many highlights will take at least 7 hours.
Mountainbiking
When biking through Tuxertal you will experience a sense of freedom - 80 kilometres of carefully maintained serpentine routes will lead you up the mountain, and over steep mountain crests back into the valley where you can leisurely enjoy our region. The Tuxertal can probably be best explored by bike!
Vorderlanersbach is the starting-point for 2 routes that will appeal to all who cherish biking. The first tour will lead via the Hobalm to the Geiseljoch and an awesome altitude of 2290 metres! A 12 kilometres tour will take you at least 2 hours - the way back offers fantastic downhill cycling! Another classic will lead you via the Penkenjoch to an altitude of 2000 as well. Here you can decide whether you want to continue biking to Finkenberg or return home.
TUX Welten
TUX Welten offers you the opportunity to explore the Tuxertal in a playful and adventurous manner - there are four exciting thematic tracks and the choice is yours!
"Naturwelt" (nature world) will lead lead you via the more nature trail to the Lauschinsel, where you will experience nature in an entirely new manner. "Tierwelt"(animal world) combines various playground with the fascinating animal world. In the "Wasserwelt" (water world) the youngest guests will be introduced to the waterfall swing and the floating water tap and adventure is calling during the exciting 'Gletscherflohsafari' with mystery treasures'!
Last but not least: Flohpark Sommerberg is a playground with climbing frames, giant chute, climbing wall and Kettcar facilities.
